Brothers

Here is Sawyer at almost 6 weeks, still looking like CW. Don't you just love how CW is "helping" his brother hold his head up? CW loves his brother and likes to "help" a lot. His favorite thing to do is hit Sawyer with his blanket. Of course Sawyer cries and CW gets in trouble. He always cries and says "But Baby brother Sawyer likes it." Yeah, what 6 newborn doesn't like to be whacked on the head. But I think CW really does think Sawyer likes it. Oh I have some fun days ahead, don't I?

First Dinner Party

In June the Pointers had us over for Sawyer's first dinner party. It was great to get out of the house - even if we were walking zombies. Thank you Pointers for having us over and thank you Noah for the guitar performances. Dinner and a show!

One month old

On June 19, 2009 we had Sawyer's one month check up. He weighed 9 pounds and 6 ounces. He was 21 and 1/4 inches long. He slept during the days but not too much. From 6pm to 11pm he did not want to do anything but eat, but then he would sleep for about 4 or 5 hours in his swing in our room. His hair still had a red tint and he still looked so much like Carter Wayne when he was a baby. Those first few weeks were so hard and wonderful all at the same time. I am just so thankful to have two healthy boys and such a loving husband. I am so blessed.

Fishing again

In early June, the boys went fishing again and were more successful. I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Sawyer and I stayed home. They actually caught a respectable looking fish and CW would actually touch it. Progress was made.

Trying the bottle again...

It took a few trys to get Sawyer to take a bottle. He just didn't like it. But to me, bottles meant freedom so I was persistent. These pictures were in early June when CW and Rodney were still going to church without Sawyer and I. This was the first time CW really got to give Sawyer a bottle. He was very excited.

Cousins

Here is Sawyer meeting Cal-Cal (Calli) and Tay-Tay (Lexie) for the first time. I am sure he will love them as much as his big brother does.

My boys love their swing

I love this picture. It reminds me so much of Carter Wayne. Both of my boys did not like the pack and play so they slept in their swing in our room. Carter Wayne slept in it until he was 6 weeks old and we moved him into his crib. Sawyer held on for 7 weeks. They both had no problem transitioning. Mom always says "babies love their beds". But I will always treasure their time in the swing.
