On my birthday Sawyer pee peed in the potty for the first time! What a great present! He was so proud of himself and wanted to call both sets of grandparents to tell them about it. His reward was M&M's and he loved that. What a precious boy. Mommy was so proud!

A Surprise Present
On my birthday Sawyer pee peed in the potty for the first time! What a great present! He was so proud of himself and wanted to call both sets of grandparents to tell them about it. His reward was M&M's and he loved that. What a precious boy. Mommy was so proud!
Surprise Birthday Party
I was not looking forward to turning 34. I mean what is even cool about that age? Nothing. This is out of character for me because I usually LOVE my birthday. A day all about me - I mean come on! But I just wasn't feeling it this year. I decided I was going to try to enjoy my birthday after my mom reminded me that my brother is turning 40 this year, so it could be worse. ;)We got a sitter and were going to meet Leslie and Brent at Abuelo's for dinner and I was excited. At the last minute Rodney said he had invited the Daspits. It was turning out to be a good day after all. We get to the restaurant and slowly some of my bestest friends start trickling in. It took me a minute to realize they were there for me. Rodney had invited all of them for a surprise birthday party with a cake and everything! I love that man! It was so fun and I felt so special. And I decided that I STILL like birthdays, even after all these years! Having such a sweet husband helped that new revelation as well. :)
Birthday Breakfast
Well, how lucky can one girl get? Breakfast in bed on my birthday by three handsome boys! Did I mention chocolate cake for breakfast? These guys know how to treat a girl right. I got sweet hugs, cards, kisses, and birthday singing. I think God made birthdays to remind us that people love us. Between my family, friends, facebook, and the phone I felt like a rock star. Happy Birthday to me!
Thanksgiving in Batesville
We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday in Batesville. Rodney's mom made us an AWESOME meal. And it was so fun to get to see so many of our family members. We had a few heated games of Yahtzee and WAR. Also, Carter Wayne was thrilled to help his Nonna put up one of her Christmas trees. The boy was crazy about decorating trees this year! What a blessed Thanksgiving to be with so many wonderful people we love and that love us too. Happy Thanksgiving!

Swimming with Cousins
We had so much fun getting to swim with our cousins Tate, Ian, and Sophie Rose. Sawyer especially enjoyed Rodney carrying him around the pool. They were soooo worn out after swimming that bedtime was not a problem. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving in Mississippi (if you don't count the loss to LSU - I really can't stand them). :)
Another Delta Thanksgiving
We had another wonderful Delta Thanksgiving at Mom Mitchell's old place. My mom and her sisters made a wonderful meal. We had so many family members there and that is what makes it so special. The little cousins loved sitting at their own table and then playing in the huge magnolia trees. All things I did as a child in those very spots. I am thankful for this precious family God made me part of. What a blessing! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hotel Living
This year we stayed in a hotel in Mississippi during Thanksgiving. We had the best time. It was like a mini vacation. We don't get out much. The boys loved it. My dad stayed in the room next to us, plus we had cousins, aunts and uncles down the hall. We had a pizza party in our room with my dad and got to swim with all our cousins. I think a tradition may be forming. :)
Headed to Mississippi!
Last Little Rock Game!
Thanksgiving Program
Carter Wayne's school put on a wonderful Thanksgiving program. He was an Indian drummer boy and he was awesome! They sang some songs and some kids had a few lines. It was precious! Afterwards they got to eat a Thanksgiving feast. Sawyer made a bee line for the stage after the show so he could sing in the microphone. Such a ham! I am so proud of both my sweet, bright, funny boys!
