My heart belongs...

to these three guys!

Aunt DeeDee and Kristen Come to Visit

We had a surprise visit from Wendee and Kristen this weekend. They came up Friday night and went to CW's tee ball game on Saturday. It is May and it was 47 degrees outside! Are you kidding me??? After lunch the girls and I headed out for shopping. It was so fun! We really did shop till you drop. We were so worn out! They headed on home Saturday evening but I am sooooo glad they came to visit. We had a blast!

Summer Haircuts

I took the boys to get their hair cut last week. It was a big one for Sawyer. He turns two this week so it is time for a big boy haircut. Short hair makes them look so much older. But I love the new do's. Mom said, "You don't have babies at your house anymore." So true. :( If anyone has a way to slow down time give me a holler. :)

My Wonderful Mother's Day

I had the BEST Mother's Day! Really the whole weekend was great! Friday night was date night with my sweet hubby. We ate at Copeland's and then went to buy a new computer. We have needed a new one for awhile. My sweet father - in- law always gives us his old computers when he gets a new one and they are always better than we could hope to get. We just finally ran this one into the ground and felt it was time to bite the bullet and get a new one. And we LOVE it! It really is a whole new world! Saturday we slept in and had a tee ball game. We then worked in the yard forever getting it up to snuff for the Spring. The boys did some big planning that night for my special day. They are so cute. That morning I got to sleep in. Carter Wayne did come into wake me up to tell me not to wake up until he told me to. Love that boy! Then I was treated to breakfast in bed and homemade cards from all three of my sweeties. Sawyer really didn't want to give me his card because it had trains all over it and he liked it but he finally let me have it. :) Rodney got the boys ready and we headed to church. It was a great Sunday school and worship service. We ate at Ableuo's. It was an hour wait but we went and got a drink at Sonic and the boys played outside the restaurant so it wasn't so bad. The boys (all three) were such good sports about it and didn't even act put out. So sweet. Abuelo's also gave me a t-shirt for being a mom. Isn't that so funny? The food was great, too. The boys took naps and I went and did a little shopping. Later, we played in the backyard the rest of the night and Rodney gave the boys a bath. It was a perfect day! I am so blessed by this sweet family that God has given me. These are the things I prayed for and hoped for all my life. I get to live this dream day in and day out. Lord, let me never take it for granted. Happy Mother's Day - I hope yours was just as wonderful. :)

Muffins with Mom

Here I am at KDO getting to have breakfast with my sweet little muffin tops! I love my boys!!!

Mallory's Baby Shower

I signed up to do the showers for our Sunday school class without the knowledge that everyone was drinking some kind of fertility water! But do not feel sorry for me, I love to throw a good party. Here is our baby shower for Mallory. She is having her first baby. A sweet little baby girl named Lila Jo. Isn't that so sweet - the party was so great she is naming her first born after me! (Just kidding). It was a fun party and I am blessed to have so many sweet friends at church! Congrats Mallory and Chip!

KDO Art Auction

Our Kids Day Out program had an art auction to raise money. It was so fun. The classes made class art projects and some of them sold for a lot of money. They had a jumpy house and food. Decorated tables and awards. I won coordinator of the year and got some great goodies. I share the title with my buddy Renee. It has been such a fun little job. Carter Wayne's class performed two songs and they were awesome. CW was so funny! The first song was Body Boogie and my sweet baby knows how to boogie. I loved it! He just lets the music take over! Ha! Then they sang a song, "Golden Rule" and did sign language. It was so sweet. At the beginning 4 students did the first part in front of the kids. Rodney was filming CW and he yelled, "don't look at me, look at them their singing." Where does he get that bossiness from??? It was a wonderful night and I am so glad my parents got to be here to enjoy it also!

Tee Ball

Well the flood waters finally receded and we got to have a tee ball game! NeeNee and PawPaw actually got to see this one too. Carter Wayne has a great time out there. He loves to bat and get the ball. He was so excited that NeeNee and PawPaw got to see him get the ball and throw it to the picture. He gave us a big thumbs up sign. :) Poor Sawyer wants to be out there so bad. His day will come soon enough!

April Showers...

was the understatement of the year! Floods everywhere and tornadoes! Here we are going a little stir crazy because of the rain. All our weather this year has been so extreme! We are so looking forward to summer, but the way things are going we will have a heat wave the first week in June!

The Spanking Spoon

Well Sawyer knows what the spanking spoon and time out are these days. He really does have a will of his own. even more than Carter Wayne, but I seem to be less stressed out about it this go around. Go figure. But before we even introduced the spoon it was on the floor one day and he picked it up and tried to spank his little bottom. He said "ouwa ouwa". It was so funny and here he is reenacting it for us. Those second borns catch on quick, don't they?

Easter 2011

This Easter we stayed in town and had our friends the Vondwe's over for lunch. The Easter bunny made a visit to our house and gave us lots of candy and some movies. He also left us an Easter pinata! He must have known it had been raining for days and there would be no hiding Easter eggs outside. We went to church and had a wonderful service. I pretty much cry the whole Easter season. Just the reminders of all that Jesus went through and did for ME! "Grace that is greater than all my sin..." My prayer is to keep that in the forefront of my mind everyday. A life saved by the blood is one that is changed by the blood and I want that to be me... all the time. Our friends the Vondwe's joined us at church then we headed to our house for lunch. I made my first ham and it was wonderful! I was worried. We had hashbrown casserole and green beans, rolls and strawberry shortcakes. All the traditional Easter stuff (at least in Rodney's and my family). Then out came the pinata!!! The kids loved it so much. Candy was flying everywhere. As the kids' sugar highs began to fall we headed our separate ways. Nap time. It really was a wonderful Easter - despite the cold and the rain. Happy Easter!
