Happy Halloween

We dressed up this year and it was so fun! We trick or treated at Rodney's work and then had a big Halloween party at our house. Our neighborhood is so busy and exciting on Halloween. It was great to have our small group and so many friends drop by to party! Best Halloween to date! :-)

Student of the Week

Carter Wayne LOVED getting to be student if the week. As a reward Ms. Craig sends home Gerald, the class mascot and he gets to spend the night. We texted this pic to Ms. Craig and she loved it. I went in to check on the boys before bed and Carter Wayne had laid Gerald on Sawyer. I asked him about it the next morning and he said he wanted Sawyer to have a turn with Gerald. Now that is a student of the week!

KDO Costume Parade

Our new obsession is Ninjago. Often Sawyer goes to school and tells his teachers to call him "Kai" or "Jay", characters from the show. And those sweet ladies do it. Love them! Sawyer was Kai for Halloween and got to walk in the costume parade at school. It was adorable! I love it when they are so happy about their costume. Makes Halloween so much more fun!

October Fun

In October we started at a new dentist and ended in Ninja outfits! In between were pumpkins, Christmas wishing, and fires in the fireplace. I love Fall!

Pumpkin Patch

I got to volunteer for Carter Wayne's first field trip. I even got to ride the school bus. We went to an awesome pumpkin patch in Missouri. Carter Wayne is in a sweet class and it was so fun to see him interact with so many of his little friends. I loved being there with him and was so thankful for the chance to go.

First Family Camping Trip

In October we went camping together. It was the first time I have ever been camping! I loved it! I loved being outside. I loved hiking with my boys. I loved the campfire and I loved us all sleeping in one tent. It was a perfect first camping trip and I hope the beginning of a family hobby!

Soccer

Both boys played soccer this year and loved it. Rodney coached CW's team again and they were pretty good. We had some great parents which always makes it fun! We are looking forward to playing in the Spring as well.

Grandparents' Day

Carter Wayne's school hosted a special Grandparents' Day where grandmas and grandpas were invited to eat lunch with the kids. Carter Wayne was elated to have Paw Paw and Nee Nee come and eat lunch with him at school. I think my parents both called me twice to tell me about all the fun they had. Ms. Craig met them and showed them CW's classroom. They loved Ms. Craig - but, who doesn't? She even texted me a picture of them. Best teacher ever! Such a special day!

Sawyer's First Day at School

Sawyer and I started back to kid's day out at our church this year. We took last year off. Sawyer is in the three's class with two of my faves - Mrs. Sarah and Mrs. Stacy. He loves them! I am leading the Chapel at KDO. I love leading the songs and telling the Bible story. I really am having a blast with it. The program there is so great and I have been amazed at all Sawyer is doing and learning!

They just kept falling out all Fall. :-)

Wildcat Welcome

Carter Wayne's school has a big event called Wildcat Welcome. This school is really cool and has a lot of parent involvement. We feel so blessed to be there. They were playing music and Carter Wayne was dancing. His teacher came up and told us that during their "brain breaks" at school he is quite the dancer! I was as proud as if she said he was the smartest in class. :-) such a fun night!

Promotion Sunday

Big promotion Sunday this year. Carter Wayne moved upstairs at church to the Children's Ministry. Very exciting. He loves his new blue Bible as well. We are blessed to go to a church with such a great Children's ministry. Looking forward to the days ahead.

Non Stop

I have two little balls of energy at my house and I constantly look for things to keep them occupied. They don't nap or slow down. But when they finally go to bed at night, they are out! It is one of my favorite times of the day! ;-)
