Malawi

This summer Rodney made his third trip to Malawi, Africa. He got to go with some of the same people from his very first trip which made it very special. While there they served, prayed for, and loved on widows, orphans, and the hurting. This was also the second year that Rodney got to spend time with one of the orphans at Esther's house. Our family has been praying for sweet Peter since last summer when Rodney led him to Christ. Last year we looked into adopting Peter but every door quickly shut in our faces. It was really hard. When Rodney got home from Malawi this year we couldn't stop talking about Peter. A few nights after Rodney got home he said that God woke him up in the middle of the night and told him Peter was our son and we needed to go get him. We said yes to God. It has been an adventure ever since. God is still the God of miracles and we have seen one with Peter. I will share more soon.
