VBX

We had a blast at our church's VBX. The boys loved every minute and I enjoyed working with all those sweet preschoolers! On the family night our children's ministry did a humongous water slide and Sawyer was a little dare devil. Such a fun week!

We love Summer!!

Impromptu lunches with daddy, pool time, Sonic, lazy afternoons and lots of time outside - that was our summer. I tried to savor every moment this summer with Kindergarten just around the corner. We practically lived at the pool and Carter Wayne became a little fish! So thankful I get the chance to stay home with my boys and enjoy our favorite time of year!

White Sunglasses

This past May our Mississippi family had a huge family reunion/fish fry. It was so fun and all the cousins had a blast. My mom and her sisters have a special memory of their mom and dad taking them to Florida and how all the girls wore white sunglasses. So we had tons and tons of white sunglasses at the fish fry for everyone to wear. Everyone looked so cute! My uncle David Was our DJ and everyone dance - even great aunts and uncles!My favorite part of the day was when different family members shared stories about my mom's mom - Dorothy Jean. It was such a sweet time. And yes, the Angry Bird shirts made another appearance. I can't get away from them!

Wrapping Up the Bridge

Carter Wayne had a wonderful school year at First Baptist Rogers Bridge program. He loved his teacher Mrs. Tera and cried all the way home the last day of school. He said he was going to miss Mrs. Tera so much. It was heart breaking. He still keeps Mrs. Tera's picture by his bed! He learned so much this year and is fully prepared for Kindergarten. It was such a hard decision, but God has continually shown us waiting on Kindergarten was the right decision for our family. I will never regret this extra year we have had with our Carter Wayne. A consistent comment by Mrs. Tera and other teachers was about how loving Carter Wayne is and how he gives the best hugs. I pray that Carter Wayne will always be known by his love for God and his love for others. So thankful for a wonderful year and a sweet boy that loves to learn.

Angry Birds

This Spring the boys got their PawPaw to buy and wear an Angry Bird t-shirt! They were so happy! Little did I know that Angry Bird t-shirts would become a theme of our summer. My family doesn't do anything half way! ;-)

Meet Me in St. Louis

This past spring we took a mini vacation to St.Louis. Why are hotels so fun for kids? We enjoyed our room and swimming at the hotel pool as much as anything else we did. We loved visiting the arch and a very cool Children's museum. I still can't believe Carter Wayne and Rodney went to the top of the arch. They are my cautious ones. It was so nice to get away as a family. That time is so precious. The boys still talk about how they LOVE St. Louis!

God's Promises

Happy 2013! Here's hoping that you discover and embrace God's promises for your life. This past year has been one in which we have seen God perform great miracles in our lives and our family! I look forward to sharing all God has done and is doing. He is faithful, He is just, He is good, and He is loving. We can face all that this new year brings because of God's love for us.
