Killing Time

Well, our daddy is off to Africa and we are just waiting for our vacation to start. We are going to stay with my in-laws and my parents for a few days each. We plan on seeing lots of grandparents, great-grand parents, cousins, aunts and uncles! The busier we are the less we will miss daddy (that is our plan anyway). I still think we will miss him... a lot.

Weddings

We have been to a couple of weddings the past few weekends. Our friends the Geurins oldest son got married at Immanuel so it was nice to get to see so many old friends that weekend. We also got to spend some time with our buddies the McGuire's!
The next weekend our friends David and Lindsay got married. It was an outdoor wedding so we braved taking the kids and they did pretty food. It was at the Botanical Gardens and very beautiful. But it was hot. I will let Sawyer's little face show you how hot! They handed out water before the wedding procession began. :)I just love weddings - it is so wonderful to see two people pledge their love and commitment to one another. I know - I am so sappy! P.S. Yes, I am wearing the same dress to both weddings but they were in different towns and there was no overlap of people so I think that makes it ok!

Malawi, Africa 2011

Rodney is off on his second mission trip to Africa and we couldn't be more excited for him!!! There are 32 people on the trip and they will be doing discipleship, medical, sewing, Bible schools, construction and just about anything else that will give them a chance to share the Gospel! Please pray for them the next couple of days as they travel. It takes two full days to get to Malawi and when they get there they hit the ground running! I am so blessed to be married to a man that loves the Lord enough to travel around the world fulfilling the Great Commission as well as sharing it here in his everyday life. We love you Rodney!!!

TBall Party

We had a great t-ball season and Carter Wayne really enjoyed playing. I think we will do it again next year. He was on a really sweet team with a good coach. Rodney also enjoyed helping out as assistant coach. We had an end of the season party and the boys got trophies and medals. My rewards - driven child just thought that was the most awesome thing ever. The kids got to play, swim and had a meal of hot dogs and cookie cake. The perfect night for a bunch of 4 year olds!
