Sawyer's First Trip to Batesville

Fourth of July weekend we headed to Batesville. Sawyer got to meet aunts, uncles, great- grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins. We also had another birthday party for Carter Wayne. You can never celebrate a birthday too much! Sawyer slept all the time we were in the car and Carter Wayne discovered a new word right as we left. "WHY?" I mean he literally asked that question 5 hours straight and he talked the whole way home too. Amazing! I have met my match when it comes to talking. My poor parents. At this point Sawyer was only waking up once at night and once in early morning. Lucky for us, Nona gets up early. Rodney and I even got to go to the movies together. It was 4th of July night and we were the only ones in the theater - that has never happened to me before. We really had such a great trip, just wish we lived closer to our families. It is always so wonderful to be around them.

June 29th, 2009 CW turns 3!

On the actual day of Carter Wayne's birthday we had a night out as a family. We ate at MAD Pizza - CW loves cheese pizza and can eat a whole one in 10 minutes flat. Then we went to Build-A-Bear and Carter Wayne made a soccer dog that he named "Walker Baby". Our real dog is named Walker. And of course we had to buy a new train to go with the 500 we already have. My CW loves his trains! Well, now you are caught up on June. Are you worn out? I am! Stay tuned for July and I have August in my sights. I am going to get this blogging thing down... maybe.

Fireworks at the Crosses

The weekend before the 4th of July our church hosted a big even with music, food, fireworks, and over 100 people baptised. It really was an awesome night. We met our connection group there and the kids had fun playing and the adults enjoyed hanging out. CW had a little meltdown but was better before the fireworks had started. It has been a rough couple of months for him. Learning to share the spotlight isn't so easy. But I know my big boy will adjust... in time. Sawyer is lucky to have a big bro to look after him. I am already praying that they will be the best of friends.

Carter Wayne Turns Three!

On June 29, 2009 my baby turned three. I still can't believe it. We had his birthday party on Saturday, June 27th. Carter Wayne chose Chuck E Cheese for the party. It is one of his favorite places in the world. Lots of his friends and family came and we had a great time. His cake was Thomas the Train and I could tell that Carter Wayne had the time of his life. Happy Birthday, Carter Wayne!

Sawyer's First Sunday at Chruch

On Father's Day Sawyer went to church for the first time and it was my first day back after his birth. Sawyer went to the service with us and he made it through the music, but when the preaching started he woke up and started crying. Rodney took him out to the lobby so I could stay for the sermon - so sweet. It was still so wonderful to go to church with all my boys. It was the first of many Sundays with my family of four.

Father's Day 2009

Happy Father's Day, Rodney! We love you. Thank you for being such a wonderful father and husband. I hope Sawyer and Carter Wayne grow up to be just like you!

Brothers

Here is Sawyer at almost 6 weeks, still looking like CW. Don't you just love how CW is "helping" his brother hold his head up? CW loves his brother and likes to "help" a lot. His favorite thing to do is hit Sawyer with his blanket. Of course Sawyer cries and CW gets in trouble. He always cries and says "But Baby brother Sawyer likes it." Yeah, what 6 newborn doesn't like to be whacked on the head. But I think CW really does think Sawyer likes it. Oh I have some fun days ahead, don't I?
