Grayson's 2nd Borthday Party

Sawyer's best bud, Grayson turned 2 this weekend. He had a big party at his great- grandparents' farm and it was so fun. The boys rode lots of motorized trucks, which they loved. We had a hayride out to a bonfire. There we roasted hot dogs, made smores, flew kites and jumped over cow patties. Seriously, the kids were in heaven. Then we headed back to the house for presents and cake. Happy Birthday Grayson, you are such a cutie!

First T Ball Game

Carter Wayne is playing T Ball for the first time ever this Spring. Which also means that Rodney is coaching T Ball for the first time ever this Spring. Their team is the REDS and the looked so cute on Saturday. Carter Wayne got to hit the ball three times and run all the bases. That's three runs, but who's counting? He did pretty good in the outfield paying attention and hustling after the ball. He only had two meltdowns and they happened when someone got to the ball before him. So we chalk that up to a competitive spirit that will only push him to do his best on the field later. Did you see how I spun that? Really the hour flew by and I enjoyed the game. Rodney said he liked it better than soccer, too. Maybe we found our new sport. The main thing is that the kids had a good time and of course, got a snack at the end of the game. Sawyer was a trooper, he didn't like being in his stroller and the one time I let him down he ran out on the field. "Put me in, coach!" So I had to put him back in the stroller and he did NOT want his picture taken. After that episode I let him back out of the stroller and he did much better. He just wants to be where the action is. Fun times at the ball field. I wonder how many times in my life I am going to say that????

Spring Break: The Big Dam Bridge

On our last day in Little Rock we headed out to the Big Dam Bridge. It goes across the Arkansas River and it was so awesome. Carter Wayne was so excited to ride his bike across such a "big big" bridge. When we got to the LR side a fire truck pulled up. The fireman were going to walk across the bridge on their break. They were so nice and let the boys crawl all over the fire truck. Just the icing on our already great day. When we got back to the NLR side of the river we had a picnic lunch. It was colder than it had been but we made it work. Actually we were starving and ready to head home for a nap so the cold weather didn't get us down. That night CalCal and I went to the movies and had so much fun, we always do. It was sad to leave the next day, but Rodney was really missing us and we really missed him! Though he did enjoy his time at home, alone. :) I would say it was a wonderful Spring Break!

Spring Break: The Zoo

We had the best time at the Little Rock Zoo with my parents. It was perfect weather and I think the whole state was there. But we really didn't have to wait in any lines. The boys LOVED the train ride. I mean LOVED it! The penguins were so fun. They were doing all kinds of tricks while we were watching them. I think it was everyone's favorite part. We ended the day with a carosel ride and then headed home. I think we were all in bed by 7:30pm. It really was just one of those perfect days.
