CW's First Soccer Practice

Carter Wayne's first soccer practice was the end of September. He is playing in Gravette because it is laid back, cheap, and allows 3 year olds to play. Rodney is helping coach these little cuties. There are 10 kids and they range in age from 3 to 6. The head coach, Casey, told the kids the first rule is to have fun and the second rule is to have more fun. I like that type of coaching. Carter Wayne cried two times because he has never had to share the soccer ball. At home he gets to make all the goals. So we will have to work on that a little. But, he had a great time, loves his new shirt and especially loved going to McDonald's afterwards.

Boys being boys

Both of my boys aren't very found of clothing. Carter Wayne likes to go to the bathroom by himself, but also likes to strip down to nothing. He does keep his shirt on, but that is it. At least I got him to put on underwear for the picture. Sawyer is happiest in only a diaper. If he has to have on clothes he likes to at least have bare feet so he can hold onto them. I think he is trying to put them in his mouth. As you can see Carter Wayne got his first black eye. He bumped heads with Olivia Grace at the first Razorback game party. I can't wait to tell them that story when they are 16! Especially the part about Olivia Grace not having a mark on her!

Trip to Batesville

In September we also got to make a trip to Batesville. We had not been since the move and we were really missing our family. We had a great time at a family wedding and spending time at Nona and PaPaw Kendall's house. We can't wait to go back again!

Razorback Party

Back in September we had a great weekend with our friends the Silvey's and McGuire's. My parents and nieces also came up for the game and we had kids everywhere. It was so fun!

You've Got Mail!

Carter Wayne LOVES mail. Two of his chores are to bring in the mail and the newspaper. Nothing thrills him more than for me to tell him that he has a letter. So you can imagine his excitement when he received TWO packages in one day. Thank you Nona and Aunt Dee Dee for our great surprises!

Granny Betty and Paw Paw Arlen come to visit

This Sunday Rodney's grandparents came by for a short visit. They were excited to see our new home and how much Carter Wayne had grown. Carter Wayne is the perfect host and shared all his toys. It was wonderful to have them over and Carter Wayne LOVED the attention!

Guy's Night Out

Friday night was Guy's Night Out. The boys had a big time at Carter Wayne's favorite place "Chuck Cheese". They finished the night by watching a little football. Perfect guy's night.

Mother's Day Out: Part Two

I went to pick up Carter Wayne at his first day of Mother's Day Out and had a little surprise. I walked up to the room and all the kids were marching around playing little instruments to the music. I didn't see Carter Wayne anywhere. I thought oh great he is in time out on his first day! As I walk in I see him over to the side on his nap mat fast asleep! I asked Miss Jenny if he was OK and she said oh yeah, he just talked to me all through nap time and then fell asleep right before we got the kids up. I certainly have a talker on my hands - I know you are all surprised! I finally got him awake. He said he had a good day. A direct quote, "We play on playground, I hot." To celebrate the day I took Carter Wayne for ice cream and we got him a soccer ball. My little boy is growing up so fast!

First Day of Mother's Day Out: Part One

September 8th was Carter Wayne's first day of Mother's Day Out here in NW Arkansas. I woke him up early so he was a little slow eating his breakfast. Once he was ready I kept saying let's go to school it will be so fun. So he went to the door and said "Bye Momma, I go to school!" After explaining that I had to drive him there he finally let me help him to the car. He was such a big boy and went right in. He was excited to be around some new faces! I was sad at first but soon my tears turned to joy at the thought of a day to myself. And yes it was wonderful!
