Red White Game
A couple of weeks ago we went with my parents to the first open practice of the Razorback Basketball teams. We had a blast. The guys got autographs and got to have their picture made with the head coach. Carter Wayne loved getting to meet the team mascots. It was so fun I think we will make it a tradition. We needed a little fun before the heartbreak we would experience the next day against Ole Miss. What an ugly game! We are looking forward to attending more basketball games since we now live so close. Also my dad informed the coach that he could look forward to a great basketball player in a few years. No pressure Carter Wayne. The coach replied that he would be old and gray by then. I sure he never hears that statement from proud grandparents.

So Happy to Announce....
Rodney and I are expecting our 2nd child. Baby number 2 will arrive next May and we can't wait! Carter Wayne is going to be a wonderful big brother and he already enjoys talking to my belly. He likes to tell the baby he loves it and he will see it soon. We had our first ultra sound October 20th and the doctor said everything looked perfect. Baby #2 had a strong heartbeat and was measuring about an inch. The baby even wiggled a little when we were watching the ultra sound. We are so thankful for this gift from God and know that he has answered our many prayers. The last year has been an emotional roller coaster for our family and we continue to praise God for every blessing - big and small - that comes our way. May we never take for granted the good times or fail to learn from the hard times.

Mississippi
My grandfather recently purchased my great-grandmother's old home. It has become a family project with my mom and her sisters to fix it up and make it special for my PaPa and our family. I have some wonderful memories there of my MomMitchell and Daddy Mitchell. The family has worked so hard and all the things I loved about that home were just as I had remembered. We had a big fish fry and all the kids had so much fun riding 4- wheelers and Rhinos. We are going to all have Thanksgiving there this year and I am so excited. Carter Wayne loved Mississippi and he can't wait to go again.

"I'm hiding"
Carter Wayne loves to hide. As soon as we hear the garage door open in the evening Carter Wayne starts screaming because he has to find a hiding place before his daddy comes in. He laughs loudly the whole time he hides so he is not too hard to find. This is a new place he has found. He was very proud of himself.
